KONTAKT 4 contains a rich and diverse seven-collection sound library with over 1,000 instruments. Each and every sound is instantly accessible via the attribute-based browser. Every instrument features extended Performance Views with controls that group all the important parameters for a super fast and efficient workflow.

• Choir: A complete set of soprano, alto, tenor and bass voices in different setups. This collection makes use of the new Authentic Expression Technology giving you a new level of control: the choir voices can seamlessly morph the vowels ("A-E-I-O-U") while holding a note, which is nearly impossible with other samplers.
• Band: Standard band instruments found in genres like rock, jazz, funk, pop, r'n'b and hip-hop as well as e-guitars, basses, acoustic drum-kits, drawbar organ and various e-pianos. The highlight is an extensive brass section, which features both solo instruments and complete horn sections.
• Orchestral: This collection has been bolstered with the addition of Solo Strings and a concert hall organ. Capture all the nuances of a live performance: playing techniques and articulations (e.g. tremolo, pizzicato, sforzando), the advanced convolution effect, legato mode and much more.
• World: Unites diverse musical cultures with exotic instruments from all over the globe. Flutes and reed instruments, bagpipes, plucked instruments and percussion generate a pool of ecelctic sounds, offering unequaled creative opportunities.
• Synth: A full range of contemporary synth pads, basses, leads and drum kits. Performance View lets you access the important parameters and tweak the sound—all in a matter of seconds. It also contains an integrated drum computer packed full of grooves.
• Vintage: The legendary sounds of analog synths and keyboards as well as drum machines, organs and string synths from the 70's (including Mellotron) and the signature digital devices of the 80's. Original hardware was used for the sampling to capture the character—and peculiarities—of the original material.
• Urban Beats: Contains 50 drum loop production kits. Each kit consists of a complete drum loop, single loop tracks (snare, hi-hat loop etc. separated) and the individual slices so that you can vary and add accents to your loop with only a few keys.

True Tweakability

KONTAKT 4 offers endless possibilities to really get inside your samples. You can easily edit, loop, slice and time-stretch your sounds and pitch shift them in real time or tempo-sync them with the powerful Wave Editor. Draw your own custom envelopes directly into the sample waveform to easily and precisely modulate any parameter, or use step sequencers and flex envelopes to tweak your samples. Refine your sound even further with any of the 19 versatile studio-quality effects such as the convolution effect for super-realistic reverbs, or use the powerful surround sound features for cinematic productions.
