Frequently Asked Questions
JUICER
How often should I recharge the battery?
Charge the battery to full before the first use, and then recharge as often as needed.
We recommend you plug it in after every use, and especially when the voltage meter is approaching 11 volts.
You do not need to drain the battery fully before recharging.
For long term storage, fully charge the battery before storage and then at least once every three months.
Why does the system shut down when the battery voltage drops?
A 12-volt battery is considered dead at 10.5 volts. It will never go to zero.
The inverter is programmed to shut down the Juicer when voltage reaches 10.5 volts to protect your electronics from brownout.
There is a 1-second warning beep when the inverter is approaching Low Battery Cutoff mode and is about to shut down.
The inverter display shows an error code of “E01”, which indicates low voltage is present.
What do I do when the voltage is low or I hear beeping or see error code E01?
Plug it in to recharge as soon as possible or the system will shut down very soon.
Can I use the Juicer while recharging?
Yes. While the Juicer is plugged in, the inverter is bypassing power directly to your electronics while it’s recharging the battery at the same time.
On the left side of the inverter screen, you’ll see a round circle with a tilde symbol inside. This indicates the presence of AC power in.
The word BYPASS appears to indicate power going directly to your electronics.
The word CHARGING appears under the battery icon to indicate that it’s charging.
How long will it take to recharge?
The average charging time is 4 to 6 hours, depending on the voltage at the start.
We recommend you plug it in overnight so it’s ready for action in the morning.
Can I leave it plugged in all the time?
The charger in the inverter has a three-stage charging algorithm. The last stage is called FLOAT and will monitor the battery voltage and top it off to keep it fully charged.
Although there is no harm in leaving it plugged in all the time, it is not necessary.
What happens the outside control panel doesn’t come on when I flip the switch?
The control panel houses the on/off switch, the USB ports and the outside battery meter.
If there’s no power to the control panel, check the blade fuse inside the black rubber cover on the wire connecting the control panel to the positive battery terminal.
If the fuse is blown, replace it with a 7.5-volt automotive style blade fuse.
What happens if the inverter doesn’t turn on?
If the control panel turns on and the voltage meter is over 11 volts, check the ANL fuse.
The ANL fuse is located behind the clear plastic cover inside the Juicer.
If the fuse is good, the band of metal in the small window will be continuous.
If the band of metal is blackened or broken, replace it.
How do I know if the fuses are working properly?
If the outside control panel comes on when you flip the on/off switch, the fuse that provides power to the control panel is working.
If the inverter comes on when the Juicer is powered up, and there is no extension cord plugged in to recharge the unit, the ANL fuse under the clear plastic cover is working.
If the inverter comes on ONLY when an extension cord is plugged in, replace the ANL fuse behind the clear plastic cover.
What’s the life expectancy of the batteries?
The AGM batteries in the Juicer should last 3 to 5 years if well cared for.
They should be charged every three months when in storage.
The batteries should be replaced when they don’t hold a charge for very long and the voltage drops quickly, causing your equipment to shut down too soon.
Is this unit safe to use with all of my equipment?
The outputs of the AC section are pure sine wave outlets and will deliver the cleanest electricity available to protect the most delicate electronics.
What is the warranty on the Juicer Portable Power System?
The warranty is limited to the original purchases to be free of defects in workmanship and material under normal use for a period of one year, starting on the date of purchase.
The inverter itself is covered under a two-year manufacturer’s warranty.
The warranty does not apply to any unit that has been damaged by fire, water, intentional misconduct, abuse or other abnormal conditions.
